24 Hour Emergency Garage Door Repair in Perrysburg, Ohio
A garage door stuck open at midnight or a car trapped inside before work can't wait until Monday. We answer emergency garage door calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for homes across Perrysburg. Call (419) 794-3008 and tell us what happened.
For daytime calls, we can often fix the door the same day.
What Counts as a Garage Door Emergency?
Call us right away if the door is a safety or security problem. These are the calls we treat as emergencies:
- The door is stuck open and won't close.
- Your car is trapped inside and you need it now.
- The door fell, is hanging crooked or came out of the tracks.
- A cable or spring snapped while the door was partly open.
- A car backed into the door and it no longer moves.
A noisy door, a slow opener or a remote that works only some of the time can usually wait for a normal appointment. That saves you the after hours fee.
What to Do While You Wait
Keep everyone away from the door and unplug the opener. Then follow these steps:
1
Do not touch the springs, cables or the bolts on the bottom brackets. They are under high tension.
2
If the door is stuck open, lock the door between the garage and your house.
3
Move bikes, tools and anything valuable out of sight if you can do it safely.
4
Keep pets and kids inside and away from the opening.
Garage Door Stuck Open at Night
An open garage leaves your tools, cars and the door into your home open too. If we can't finish the full repair on the first visit, we can usually get the door closed and secured the same night, then come back with the parts.
Winter adds another reason to move fast. An open door in a Northwest Ohio cold snap can freeze water lines in the garage and let snow drift inside.
Car Trapped in the Garage
When a spring breaks with the door closed, the door gets too heavy to lift by hand. Please don't force it with a pry bar or the opener. We can open the door safely, get your car out and then make the repair. Our broken spring repair page explains why the door gets so heavy.
Opening Your Garage Door During a Power Outage
You can open the door by hand with the red emergency release cord, as long as the springs are working. Pull the cord with the door closed, then lift. The step by step version, including how to reconnect afterward, is on our opener repair page.
Two tips for outages. First, a door opened by hand does not lock itself, so use the slide lock on the side of the door when you close it. Second, if storms knock out power often on your street, an opener with battery backup keeps the door working for a while after the lights go out.
If the door won't move by hand during an outage, a spring is probably broken. That is a good time to call us instead of forcing it.
Emergency Garage Door Repair Cost
An after hours visit usually costs $125 to $250 for the service call, plus the repair itself. Daytime same day visits use the normal $75 to $125 service call.
| Emergency job | Typical price |
| Daytime same day service call | $75 to $125 |
| Night, weekend or holiday service call | $125 to $250 |
| Close and secure a door until parts arrive | $100 to $250 |
| Repair parts and labor | Same as our regular prices |
We tell you the after hours fee on the phone, before anyone drives out. Repair prices are the same as any other day.
